Announcing our 2012 efficiency rebates

Date:

Saving energy (and cutting costs) continues to be a hot topic for homeowners, business operators and utilities. By wisely using – and not wasting – energy, we can all be winners. MJM Electric Cooperative has partnered with Wabash Valley Power Association (WVPA) to bring our members the Power Moves program, which offers many energy efficiency rebates and programs in 2012.

But why would we encourage you to use less of the product we sell? It’s simple. If our members’ need for electricity grows too quickly, our wholesale power supplier, WVPA, may have to build more power plants to keep up with the demand. Building a power plant is very expensive and buying electricity generation is becoming more expensive as well. If we can slow the rate which we need new power resources, it can help us keep your costs as low as possible – and being a member-owned business, that’s good for all of us.

For more information on participation and application forms, see our rebate page. You can also contact MJM’s Energy Advisor, Charlie Peterson, at 217-854-3137 or charliep@mjmec.coop
